Dear Valued Customer
Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Jackson County distributes water to the southern portion of Raytown, Missouri. We purchase all of the water we use from the cities of Kansas City and Independence, Missouri. While we did not increase the rate to our customers last year, over the last two years we have experienced cost increases of 3% and 5% from Kansas City and an 8% and 5% from Independence. Regrettably, as a result of these increased costs from our wholesalers, Public Water Supply District No. 2’s Board of Directors will effect an increase in all of the Districts water rates by 5%.
