Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Raytown, Missouri is committed to providing ample quantities of high quality water that is both safe and delectable to drink. We strive to maintain continuous service and pressure throughout the system, quickly restoring service following maintenance or repairs. We will diligently maintain the system to last for generations to come, along with excellent customer service to Raytown residents.

The Board of Directors of Public Water Supply District No. 2, approved the Budget, without a rate increase, for the fiscal year, starting May 1, 2015. This is despite wholesale water increases from Kansas City and Independence Water of 3% and 7% respectfully.
System improvements will continue as the District realizes the benefits from past improvements. Water main repairs are down dramatically, from over one hundred main breaks per year, to the present, of approximately thirty per year.
Radio read meters have saved Public Water Supply District No. 2, time and fuel. Reading meters has decreased from a seven to ten day job to a one or two day task. More savings are from going green initiatives like solar power, geothermal heating and cooling and energy efficient lighting.
The District has purchased more efficient vehicles, providing a savings of 25% in gasoline purchases over previous years.
The District will continue improving the water system for our customers, providing great tasting safe water, now and for generations to come.
NEW PIPELINE REPLACEMENT UPDATE
PWSD #2 has received approval from Missouri DNR for the following pipeline replacement projects:
84th Street from Elm to Laurel. In Progress.
85th Street from Overton to Arlington Ave and Evanston, 85th Street south, to end of cul-de-sac. In Progress
79th Terrace, Raytown Road to Crescent. Completed.
84th Terrace from Arlington to Elm.
70th Terrace, Raytown Road to Willow & 70th Terrace, Hedges through Gregory Lane.
Hedges, 69th Terrace to 70th Terrace.
82nd Street, Elm to 82nd Terrace and back to Elm.
77th Terrace and Harvard from Appleton to Lewis.
